Peter Forbes

Peter Forbes has been involved with the Veterans of the Vietnam War, Inc. & The Veterans Coalition for over fifteen years.   He has established the organization in Australia and continues to work with the officers to move the organization forward building bridges between those who are veterans and those who are currently serving. He currently serves as the National Commander in Australia as well as the United States.  He has developed the Military Support Package Program that send packages to those who are currently serving.  This effort was put into place so that no one serving now will ever feel the isolation that was felt by Vietnam veterans.
Peter truly believes that we are our “brother’s keepers” and works intensively on the United Veterans Beacon House Program which is a reintegration program for homeless veterans as they make the transition from homelessness back into society.  This program provides a hand up, not a hand out.
Working with veterans is sometimes difficult but more times rewarding.
Peter is the proud father of one son and three daughters and grandfather to one granddaughter

Nancy Verespy

Nancy Verespy has worked with the Veterans of the Vietnam War, Inc. & The Veterans Coalition for over twenty years.  During the last six years she has held the position of International Executive Director.  Her duties are varied but all center around veterans and their families and how they can best be served.
Projects such as the Military Support Package Program as well as the United Veterans Beacon Houses take a great deal of input and personal sweat and tears but “always it is worthwhile if it helps even one veteran”.
Nancy is the proud mother of one son and grandmother to one beautiful granddaughter.

short stories of defence personnel in Vietnam.

Having a father who was a POW for four years (World War 2), a US Army Godfather (Major Carl Dryer) and experience gained from research for her books, has given Carla a good grounding in working with those who have PTSD and other war related problems.Carla says, “It is an honour and a privilege to serve those who have served and are serving their country.”

but because there are people in it who live it, sleep it, dream it,
